Wedding Cake Stand

This is a cake stand I made out of a piece of Yew. It has been finished with a matt varnish to keep the natural look of the wood. It is 40 cm at widest point and 17 cm high. Depending on the environment, wood will be prone to splitting, that's just how it is sometimes.
